I think horn button has collapsed, how do I go about changing it? (Airbag)
Hi,
I have a 1997 Escort Si and it looks like one of the horn buttons has collapsed (crook lock fell on it), do I need to change the whole unit including the airbag?
Thanks
Dan

Up for the morning people. By whole unit, I don't mean the whole steering wheel, I mean airbag, and horn push pad. Doesn't look like the push pad separates from the airbag, am I right? Can someone confirm please?

I don't know as haven't seen if these are seperate, but airbag usually held by bolts in from other side(reverse side) of steering wheel, normally just one each side.
Be very sure to leave at least 15 minutes after disconnecting the battery before unplugging airbag, and face it down when off, don't turn the ignition back on till you have reconnected airbag or it may flag a fail.
