hi i changed the standard acutater for a -31 item now the dunmp valve doesnt go off but the turbo holds boost any ideas cheers

 

is the vacum pipe still connected from the inlet to the top of the dump valve?

 

yesw mate i have checked all vacum pipes boost pipes still no change cheers

 

Perhaps the Dumpvalve has ceased???

Try another it wouldnt be the first. I take it the boost pressure is still the same as before with the standard actuator?

 

hi the it is boosting slighty better holding 1/2 bar at idle and goes to one bar on boost where before it was slightly worse

 

Take the actuator off and see if the wastegate is moving freely, not sure if this would effect the dump v going off but might explain the boost prob

 

Its sitting at 1/2 bar at idle??? It should be negative during idle!!! This aint correct, i would look at that!

 

def shouldn't be on boost on idle !! very wrong!! how much preload did you put on the new actuator?? coz if theres no preload then your wastegate will be permanently open. is it pulling the same as before??( as in same amount of lag or more lag??) when its on full boost??
