Hi guys , I've got a 1.6 Zetec escort. (1997)
On revving/driving its stuttering going up the rev range, almost like it could be over fueling.
I disconnected the MAF sensor and it run fine ,so I changed that (with a second hand one from a scrap yard ) and when connected that up had the same problem.
Have I just been unlucky and picked up a dud one or does it sound like another problem.

a ped could of whipd my fiesta si with the maf connected, tried loadsa mafs without joy , so ran it without the maf lol, but fuel is dearer these days so maybe beter get it chekd out

 

As it is a zetec, look for tracking on the plugs, unless you are using BOSCH plugs in which case bin them.
