Default ecu help

alright guys i not had my cossie for long and i was wondering wat it the main difference between the ecu's i e the level 6 and level 8 ones, is it worth getting the level 8 one for my car. are they plug and play etc

With a level 8 you can run launch control and anti lag, theres some datalogging software that MSD sells that you can use too. Its pretty much plug and play, you'll need a chip of course and a PF09 throttle sensor and you'll need swap the wires round inside the plug for the TPS. L8 runs quicker too iirc.

L8 is a higher spec, and SOME can run closed loop, as said outer wires on tps need swapping or do at ecu end instead.

Just to clarify. They can ALL run closed loop.
