Cossie misfire ......
Hi...My old 2wd Sapp. has a very bad habbit of starting a misfire when it come on boost...starts around 20 psi
, for example it would appear in 2'nd gear and nothing in 3'rd, and next time it gone or happens only in 3'rd .....
The car runs a Ahmed Bayjoo 330 setup.
Problem is that it comes and goes from day to day so it's quite difficult to check it, could be gone in a month and the back for a week and so on ... I have tried different (Denso and Champion) plugs with gabs ,5 to ,8 mm and it dosent matter....sometimes it misfires and sometimes it dont
When going "normal" and not hitting full boost, all seems to be ok.

Hmmm....the ones I have are only a few years old ..... and are the blue silicone "ford Racing" ones..... could they already be "dead"
.
They have max. done 25000 miles...

Does the Finis code read 909 ? In which case I think they are ok, there are some other "blue ford" ones that are not too good.
Erm, changing your leads to BERU won't necessarily fix it either, it may, it may not. I have Beru's AND a misfire - so before you throw nigh on Ł200 at new BERU leads, I would make sure everything else is ok.
Considering it's on an off (the misfire), you could have a dodgy electrical connection somewhere ?
