I've just bought a pantha black fiesta zetec S phase 1 x-reg. I've got a scorpion exhaust straight through and K&N 57i kit it is lowered 40mm on 16"s.Angel eyes,black rear clusters and tinted windows, how can i get more BHP from it I've got a buget of about £2000. wes

 

for the money i would get a the 1.7 Puma engine conversion. you can source one for with all you need for about £750 then fitting apx £500-750 gives you some money to put a set of cams and a chip. looking in the region of 140-150bhp

 

I was hoping too keep the same engine but get more from it and eventually as much as poss.

 

it will be a costly job and iirc the bottom end on the phase ZS was a week point and would die if given a hard time.

if you really want to keep the same engine go for the normal things, cams, remap, ported & polished head. this wont see you with as much power as the puma engine though

 

look at shawspeeds website, they can get you upto 150bhp under your budget

 

Probably take the K&N off to start with and go back to a panel filter (K&N/ Piper-X etc)

 

that sounds lil more like it i had a mk2 astra gte 2ltr 16v i got it too 164 bhp it was quick as ****.But i love me fords so bought the zetec s
