Default Painting Textured plastic

Right i fancy painting my splitter, its a textured plastic kinda like car door handles, just wanna no if i need to do anything Different?

do you want it to stay textured, or do you want it smooth?

is it painted already or plastic finish...

Its Textured now, n its plastic finish still, i kinda like the idea of it being smooth BUT its a splitter so i dont wanna spend hours prepin it just incase i nail it on a curb
