ive got a 03 plate focus 1.6 zetec. all went pear shaped in may when coil pack went wrong. after an expensive trip to ford garage 1 month later engine management light is on..catalyst control low P0420..(reset light twice but keeps returning) looks like a need a new cat needed! does anyone suggest where to get one thats as good as a genunine part. How much should it cost to buy and fit? My local garage quoted me £450. All ideas welcome if theres anything else i can do!

 

Why not buy an after market CAT..... fook paying Ford prices.

The reason the Cat's gone is that during the coil pack problem which would have given you a missfire the fuel from the miss firing cylinder/s will have damaged the Cat..... I'd also get the lambda sensor checked as well.
