Default Horn of not a lot!!!!!

URGENT!!! my horn has stopped working. Need it back for the MOT. Thought it might be a bad connection on the terminal so took it off and cleaned that, but still not working.
Called the Ford, sorry Fraud, dealer who said that the problem was a colck in the dash??????????
Said that part was about £30 plus a couple of hours labour!!!!!!!!!!!

Humm......total cost in that case would be about £190

Is he right or as i thought, ON DRUGS?????????

Have you directly wired the horn to the battery to see if it works? or have you tested for voltage at the horn terminals?

JAmes.

Hes probably on about the clock spring behind the steering wheel, as said test the horn first, as it's always something simple.

Very unlikely to be the clock spring, as said test the actual horn itself then the wiring if needed, you can always fit a NAUTILUS horn if you need a new one, a compact twin air horn set up, I have two on my cossie very loud.
Some horns have a screw on them so you can retune them, so that may be worth a try as well.
