Default Boost controllers running over 90% duty cycle ?

Why do JAP boost controllers not like running over 90% solenoid duty cycle ?

Im using a Greddy Profec B Spec2 and was told not to run over 90% solonoid duty cycle, but I have never been told or explained why ?

Because the solenoid can't physically deal with that duty cycle.. you'll probably find the linear operating range of the valve is no better than 20-80%, and that's a good one. It's the same reason big fuel injectors can cause idle issues, because control at small duty cycles is not consistent. In this case, 90% is most likely fully on.
