turkish 200 block question?

Removed my engine Sunday and checked my 200 block number the one by the crank breather and it ends 91 is this a non turkish block then and does this figure relate to the build year?

IMO that your ok as all of the reported problem blocks have 99 on them.
Ive got one of the Tukish blocks.
From what I understand. These blocks are failing where power is being increased in excess of 550bhp with aggressive torque curves ? I remain to be corrected if I have been misinformed.

yes Dax its only effecting big power engines, i wont be exceeding the 450 BHP so doesnt realy matter but nice to know its a strong one.

I have an 200 block out here with a xx5991 number on it..
Is this an Turkish block? Because it has 99 in it but NOT 99 on the last 2 digits like said before on this page.
Anyone have an answer for me?
