Getting new mahle pistons fitted on my s2 turbo, mate doing it for me after hours in his garage and be ready for weekend (fingers crossed) . How many miles do i have to do to run the new pistons in? Thanks

 

Are you reboring or just giving it a quick hone?

 

My mate said it dont need rebored mate

 

Well the amount of running in it will benefit from depends on the honing done to it, if its just a bit of a roughen up, by 100 miles there will be nothing left to run in from anyway.

If he isnt going to hone it either, it wont benefit from running in at all.
