Escort Mk4 Electrics

In my XR3i, my interior clock always reset's when a door is opened. Does anyone know why this is?

Also my sterio doesnt keep its memory or recieve radio stations, any suggestions on this!

The earth connection behind the speaker grille on the drivers kickpanel has either come loose or disconnected. There should be about 3 or 4 earth wires meeting @ the same point.
