comp brake 4 pots
anybody got these fitted, especially on a 4x4 cos, bought i kit and there's no instructions supplied and comp brake say that I should know how to fit them.
So any photos of a set fitted or info or anything would be really helpful. Thanks

Best bet is to speak to Tony (NutsRS) of here he will do his very very best to sort the techincal query out you have.
Iv had similar experiences and got to say its so dam frustrating.
I do know also that the brackets only go one way as a mate who installed his had
problems too.
If your not overally sure with regard to fitting of brakes in general get a garage to install them.
If its understing how the bells and brackets are to be fitted i.e which way round contact Tony . Like i say he is good as gold mate.

yeh, they have 2 arrows on em, but i've phoned comp brake up and they didn't seem keen on telling me, well, anything. Most of my local garages would need instructions.

rotors are binding on the front of the caliper, but if i shim em then the rotor mounting bolts foul the adaptor bracket.
the bell doesn't seem to fit flush against the hub either

hole centres on the mounting brackets seem about 1mm too wide for the caliper and hub carrier and the bolts get threadbound about 5mm from being tight, but they do pull in. rotors are super tight on the bells and take a lot of pulling on with the bolts.
I was told they don't give instructions out, and basically if i don't know how to fit em, i shouldn't have bought em. which is odd, because i fit industrial gearboxes and couplings, etc for a living and i've never had anything arrive without instructions detailing specs and tightening torques. SKF even include instructions for felt seals!

Both sides or just one ?
Sounds like something is not running true somewhere.
Torque for the bell to rotor bolts is only 12-15Nm (as explained in the technical pages on the website).
The CD supplied goes through it in photographs, but your correct the bell is supplied tight in that kit. Better tight than rattling round !! The back of the bell is faced off flat so thats impossible for it not to sit flat if its on correct.
As your rotor is binding it sounds like a possible classic case of the bracket being fitted on the wrong way round.
I will get a picture for you in a moment..
If there is any concern over a technical fitting issue please use the technical support helpline number on the website as thats what its for !!
The arrow on the bracket points in towards the hub and up towards the sky.
Is it the 16" kit or 17" kit ?
