Does anybody know about the above unit? I've managed to get a brand new one for £30 and they are something I've always considered using on my XR2 TT as opposed to the primitive retard module but never felt the urge to spank £150 on one (plus sensor cost).
I can't find ANY info on them on the net - can't even find a microdynamics home page (only one that no longer works).
I was expecting the dial on the front to allow setting of retard per psi boost, but its actually retard per rpm. The instructions are 1 single side of A4 and simply state that the unit will calculate the required retard according to boost and revs (no mention of even using the dial!).
Also, I still need to buy the sensor that allegedly costs £50-60! I wann a try and find out the manufacturer/product code and see if I can source it from RS or the like. Can anyone advise on this?
Both products can be seen here:
