Alternator brackets
Hi
Has anyone got pictures of the fiesta/escort mk3/4 alternator brackets.
I'm in a need of one for my zetec project, but i can't find the right one. Please some one help, i'm nearly ready to give up on it.

i used the right one first time somehow, dont know which it is though.... my mate just used the right one on his zetec though so wil ask him what car its off, its definatly cvh but weither it early xr2 or xr3 i cant remember

I know a lot of people use the mk2 xr2 fiesta alternator bracket on the zetec but i've been looking for one for about 2 months and i can't find one.
If you know of another cvh bracket that'll work, that'll be a huge help to me. I just don't know if any cvh brackets will work?

if it is for a mk3 escort zetec i used a zetec alternator and bracket from an early mk5 escort zetec fitted a treat but cant remember the belt size

no, its not a mk3. I've tried the zetec one, when i got the engine. it was too big.
I have read all the conversion manuals people have created, they all say the mk2 fezza bracket and not alot else.
Urrgh, i wish my lunch breakers were longer, i would go and rake about in a scrappy.

I've used an underhung cvh bracket (fiesta turbo) with a zetec alternator. I got 2 escort cvh adjuster arms and Red16 cut/shut them to gain a few extra inch's.
Its been hanging over me for months too. Rereading what everyone else uses and trying to follow suit, its never that easy in practice.

The bracket I've used can be seen in this link but I've got the zetec alternator and belt.

i used a zetec one with the cvh adjuster, had to "trim" a bit off the anit roll bar mounting plate as it was touching but otherwise was ok. as for belt i just orderd a non powersteering zetec one but found it squeeled so ordered one the same size but thinner from local allparts branch. use a rs turbo one for my rs2k conversion though and just changed the pulley wheel to a zetec one, just use an air gun and that nut will come right off! would be a bit of a pain without one id imagine though

Is that bracket large? Does it bolt onto the zetec bottom end okay?
Does the belt and alternator hang off it ok? Is the water pump pipe-ok to fit around it.
if i can get away with not fabricating i'll be happy.
