Default ACT Gauge Wiring

Hi all,

Have just brought an air charge temprature gauge for my cosworth which I'm hoping to fit sometime this week.

My question is has anyone wired one of these into the existing air charge temprature probe which the ECU uses? This would make installation a lot easier as I don't have to run any wires into the engine bay and find a suitable place to fit the new probe.

Also if anyone has done this can they tell me which pins on the ECU plug I should be wiring into?

Thanks

YES you can, BUT only if the resistance of the gauge matches the air temp sensor otherwise it will read wrong.

How do I find out the resistance of the temp gauge and my current air temp sensor? Can I do this with a ohm meter?

have the sensors next to each other at room temp and simply read the resistance of them both then subtract one from the other then get a resister the size of the difference. will only work 1 way tho obviously (the resistance of the standard sensor needs to be larger than the other).if not then its not worth doing youl have to make a circut to make up the difference.
