Could be something to do with cps. Me mates did same and after checking all the usual it turned out to be the fuse for the lambda sensor kept blowing every time we put ignition on. It was the wires on the lambda sensor wich had melted together causing the ecu to shut off the signal from cps. Give it a try

Could be cps although mine started misfiring and cutting out for a split second whilst driving.

crank sensor i would say pal mine did exactly the same with no warning ....could also checked its gapped properly

Thanks all for your help. I got the car going, happy daysIt was the two big black plugs beside the coil, one of them was not making proper contact.
