Default imobiliser trouble mk6 rs2000

please help me figure this 1 out as its killing us...

the car wont start as the key is not recognised? the dash lights all come on but fuel pump doesnt and only on a rare ocasion does it start and its getting worse now. the imobiliser light used to keep flashing when it would not start now thats stopped too???
its very tempramental and is just not reliable anymore so if the car is not a easy fix it will be going.

has any1 else had probs with this before as your input would be a great help.

cheers lewis

probably not a good idea to state where the ford alarm box is and unplugging it means you can start it with any key
