Wiring Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
hi,im having a bit of an issue sorting out the wiring on my car.im converting my escort with a mk4 escort xr3i efi loom(ofac) to accept my fiesta rs turbo ofab ecu and map sensor
I followed everything on the website http://www.rsbible.co.uk/escort/efi.htm
but there were a couple of bits dont seem very clear to me....
I take it i cut the ofac map sensor plug off so im left with the 3 wires...brown/black(pin26),brown/yellow(pin27 or 45 before the pin swap) and
brown(pin 46).
I then connect the brown/black(pin 26) directly to the ofab map sensor plugs brown/black wire.
I then directly connect the brown(pin 46) directly to the brown on the ofab map sensor plug
There is then the yellow wire that connects the map sensor plug to the map suppressor plug
I then connect my last remaining wire from the xr3i efi loom (ofac plug wires) the brown/yellow (pin27) to the brown/yellow wire in the supressor plug.
This now leaves me with one wire (brown) coming out of the supressor plug. On rs bible.co.uk it says this goes to Pin 60 on the ecu(brown current return). Ive looked at the ecu plug and there is a brown wire in pin 60,but where abouts is this wire in the engine bay???????????
Also on the original xr3i efi loom there is a grey unit the sits on top of the coil pack.....I take it this was no longer needed for ofab so what do i do with the remaining black wire??
i hope this all makes sense as ive tried to keep it as clear as possible(even though im a little confused myself lol)
ive got a very very dodgy diagram if it helps lol

ive found these on a prievious thread.......
so from these does this mean there is not a pin 60 wire in the engine bay????? so does this mean i need to run a wire directly to pin 60 on the ecu???
