Default SPI head and inlet on RST

Has anyone ever experimented on using the american SPI head and inlet manifold on a turbocharged engine? It's an interesting concept. It might not help at all with top end power, but the low down torque, knock resistance and fuel consumption might be really impressive. On the other hand, why not use the 2 (or 2.3 ?) liter block too.
