bought a set of oversize main bearing and notice the lug measured 4mm where else the old ones is 5mm. when it seat on the block there is a 1mm freeplay. is this normal or must i get a main bearing shell and specify its 5mm lug.

 

not sure mate mine were the other way round i had to press mine in.ring the place up were you got them from
