I am fitting a 1.8 zetec into a 1.6 zetec can I override the PATS if i fit the 1.8 ECU in?

 

YES but much simpler to just swap the ignition lock, and key over at same time, then still have your pats.

the transponder i have is wired different to the one out of the 1.8 .the 1.8 trany has 4 black wires that split into 2 wires in one plug and 6 wires in another the 1.6 is different again 4 coloured wires from tranny the splits up into 2 multi wire plugs
