Hello boys and girls....

Right i have a p reg 96 mondeo 20 16v ghia
I got the car from work as it was a p/x ( cheap as chips )

Now the problem :

The indicators and horn wasnt working and i noticed a relay clicking when i got in the car......
The key remote dont open the doors!!!!
The drive's lock only unlocks so you have to lock and unlock from the passengers side...
i have checked the key with my camera phone and the infered is working as the camera phone pick's it up flashing, but i cant lock and unlock the doors or turn off the alarm...

I have removed the 20amp fuse from under the dash ( behind the glove box ) that controls the central locking and the anti theft as i belive the two are link in one control unit....
i replaced the 20 amp fuse from under the bonnet and now have working indictors and horn !!!

I dont mind the fact that the anti theft dont work but i want my central locking back as its doing my nut in what with having to get the kids in and out....

Cant anyhelp me please !!!

Is there a wire i can cut to shut down the anti theft so i can replace the fuse and get the central locking back... i dont even care if i have to use the key with the passenger lock.....

The only thing i know about the central locking is how to check to see if you have a fault with any of the door catches/central locking motors. If you open the bonnet there should be a black switch on the front panel. Press that 10 times and you should hear a beep. Now go round all the doors and open them. When opening the doors you hear a beep that catch/central locking is ok. If you get to a door that doesnt beep when you open it,there is a fault on that door. I hope that is some help to you.

only promblem theo... the horn is unpluged cos i cant turn off the alarm... the only way was to remove the fuse... ??????????????????????????????????????

Yeah i know mate just posted thinking i'll be able to cut a wire or something and save you the bother as you have so many things to do like the 2000e rebuild !!!!! nice....
