I've just purchased a P reg Escort TD Ghia it's not in bad nick 2 prev owners 82K, but it didn't come with a manual so I've a few questions.

What should be the average MPG?
What are the service intervals?
What are the Tyre Pressures?
How many liters does the tank hold?
how many miles should I get when the fuel guage needle hits red?
Does anyone have a 6000 cd player for sale? mines just got the tape
Also the car came with 3 keys one red 1 which opens the doors and starts the car the other 2 are black with a small red insert I think these ones are chipped. However they only open the vehicle they wont start it can anyone shed any light on this?

You should get around 45mpg from a td.
Oil/filter every 12,000 miles, I would change the FUEL filter every 12,000 as well, for a LUCAS CAV one, tappets onl;y need doping about every 40,000 as shim and hardly wear.
As to the keys, the black keys SHOULD start the car and be the normal ones you use, the red key is used to CODE the black keys, so that they will do this.
Either the black keys have not been coded(using the red key) or they are duff.

Yes piece of cake, takes about 10 minutes.
I think it is just insert red key turn on, take key out insert black key turn on take out, job done, ie the next time you insert the black key it will work.
Could be wrong as haven't done it in ages.
