neer the ecu plug there are two small plugs
one with 5 connectins on it (2 not used)
and one with three connections on it (two black wires and a brown)whot is this for
and why would some one connect the brown with one of the blacks together

i now have the two looms in front of me with a wireing diagram
and one 2wd loom has a purple plug for a relay that isnt used
and the outher loom dosent

the one with the five holes is a diagnostic port.it gives error codes in the form of flashing led on a unit that plugs in to it
the other is an ignition timming adjustment, by bridging the brown wire with one or both of the black wires retards the ignition by set amounts.
someone could have done this to stop pinking with crap fuel
