Default l8 on a 2wd???

my m8 wants to fit an l8 ecu to a 2wd what is it i need ? it is running the 2wd wiring loom.

Is it just the isc valve or do i need the throttle position as well??

you don't need to change the iscv, only the tps. needs a 4x4 tps, PF09 and to swap the outer two wires over for the tps (whether you swap them at the tps connector end of the loom or at the 'hairbrush' ecu end of the loom makes no difference). i would say that changing them at the hairbrush is slightly easier

An L8 ecu is expecting a knock sensor to be present.
You do not have that. This would require the addition of the knock sensor and wiring from the sensor to the ecu.
Depending on the type it might also expect a lambda sonde which again you do not have.

doesn't matter, it wil run fine without either/both. however, it is definately worth fitting a lambda sensor and using a chip that can use it for more efficient running
