Default zetec head bolts.

does anybody know the removal order of the bolts for zetec head? any diagrams???

well it doesent matter, but if you wanna be fussy remove the center bolts and work your way out ,you only have to pull the head down equally and in a special order ,to ensure good pressure distribution and avoid distorting the gaket

no dont do that thats for doing up the head doing up you work from the centre out undoing you work outside in

after stripping litterally thousands of engines in my time ,NO!!! it doesnt matter in which order you remove the bolts,what possible purpose would this serve unless you were refitting the old gasket

yeah but being a alloy head its better to be safe than sorry and he wants to know the correct way not the horse and carrige cowboy way fords set it out for a reason

20 years ive been doing this job , and i own the largest vehichle engineers in the north of nottingham, and if you believe it makes the slightest bit of difference which way you choose to remove head bolts ,well everyone is entitled to their opinion i guess
