I am just in the process of rebuilding my engine and have found this,







Can anyone tell me what has caused it as i dont want the same to happen again, All the marks are on the inlet side of the piston and on all 4.

 

Too much boost ste!

 

what car might help and spec?

 

I would say excess heat, too hard a use on a new engine.

1600 cvh accralite +1mm t34,dta,newman cam,low comp was running 300bhp at 2bar

 

How long was the dye on ste?

 

20min pal at least ive got my dye pen

 

Iv got mine pal, looks like a treat for the credit card mate!t34 treats!

 

What heat range spark plugs were you using?
