hi on a car battery what does it mean if it say 12V 55Ah Car Battery and ah 60 etc... im after a new battery for my 2.0 focus....

 

Hi the Ah fig is the amps it can give out so say Ah55 is for a fiesta with not so many extras on.
Think you need at least a Ah60 or maybe a Ah70 be best for yours.
If ya tell the dealer where ya getting battery from he should be able to check it out in the specs.

 

You have to be VERY careful when comparing specs as some are rated in 20HOUR AH ratings as well as SAE/DIN/ etc.
There are many variations, I would go to a Battery place that does COMMERCIAL stuff as it will be cheaper as well.
