Default Last attempt at solving my problem..Any ideas welcome

well, it started by the turbo spinning up but the car felt like it was holding me back, then it kicked in and the boost threw me full whack. Few miles later the turbo still spins up but hardly any power in the engine and has developed an irregular tapping noise.

Took out the cam today to check if it was worn and it seems fine????2 of the followerswere really hard to get out and i have chewed them a bit with my pliers. would these have caused the irregular rattle??
would the problem above, loss of power, explain symptoms of simply new plugs and leads needed ???

finally now that the cam is out should I change the followers, lifters and tappets to eliminate them from the rattle noise

many thanks

a very confused Seanex

ah ha, you are right. Just put a straight edge against the ones that were sticky and they are not flat, all the others are and they came out fine.

So i take it the cam is gone now. What would have caused this??
Do i need a new set of followers???

Cheers mate

Slowly but surely making progress,
