Default CamShaft Change??help

Right, after the offers Ive had for my car with a worn cam I have decided to fix it. Need some help though.

1. Do I need to set the engine to a safe position before I remove the cam?

2. Will the cam shaft only fit into 1 postion on the pulley?

3. I really need your help and your experiences of doing this cause I dont want to fook it up.

yes and yes, time the engine up like you would to do the belt to remove the cam, and there is a keyway on the cam where the pulley goes on so you cant get the timing wrong once its in.

cheers for that, sorry to be thick but ive only timed up an engine thats on a stand....not in a bay. Whats the best way of doing that because obviously access to turn the crank is limited compared to what I have worked on
