Could someone tell me what i need to do to my axle to take big power.I am running full cossie running gear but am using a tuned 4.6 Rover V8.I used to work on XR 4x4's but my axle has bigger shafts and the bolts are larger and drilled and wired, could it be a 7.5" version? I already have excesive play in the diff and both inner rear shafts.Any help would be greatfully accepted.
Dont see Alan Simms running 900hp from his rover in CCSE(not without shit loads of NOS) there are many 750hp cossies that are proven, still using cosworth block head and crank, these rover engine are using a completly different head design with isn't even rover!!
Anyway if you claim to be running 950BHP ENGINE IN YOUR CAR THEN YOUR GONNA NEED MORE THAN JUST THE RIGHT DIFF We at Hauser racing can offer a couple of routes to take but the main questions are what is its use and how much can you afford to spend?

I never said i was running 950bhp, i said one had been built.I came onto this site to ask for some genuine advice on what to do to strengthen my axle as it has already broken once and i didn't want it to break again, but instead of getting that advice, all i got was people slagging of my choice of engine.I have heard of other one make forums being very biased to there particular choice of engine/car but i thought / hoped that this site would be different but sadly it looks like i was mistaken.I always have and always will be loyal to the blue oval, but that does not mean i can't / wont use parts from other makes. It's a shame i have recieved such negative comments, as for me, this has spoiled, what appeared to be a great forum to be part of.I know Alan Sims, as i have crewed for a mate competing in the CCSE and i know what engine he had, i wasn't saying i had huge amounts of power, i don't, but it still broke my 7.5" diff and shafts.
Were not slagging you choice of engine at all, nut we can't really recommend or advise on a doff capable of handling you power/torque output if we don't know what that is
I{ was mearly commenting about power with your commen on proving cossie power, like I said rear end I can help, just tell me what the use will be and what you can afford
tell ya what if your having problems with the axle, bring that car along to me and i can either put you a mustang 8 inch in there with a choice of diffs at hand.. or if you have the big power in mind a sheet steel 9 inch can be built and fitted.....
