Well went to ford got the parts and serviced the 1250 lump. Plugs where NGK and had white deposits on them. Drained oil new filter etc. Changed air filter and crack filter. Its lost its sluginishness and revs freely now. Goes very well like a 1250 should. Its still lump below 1200 rpm and is misfiring at idle. Filled it with fuel and put some redex in. Went down to the local MacDonulds and while in the que it decided to smoke a bit. Was a bit imbarasing but speeded the service up. It was sort of white smoke and stank of petrol. I think its running rich Anyway drove it a few miles and its not smoking anymore.

Havent checked the MAF sensor yet.
