Default suspension knock

i have a knocking noise coming from the n/s/f suspension, ive checked the top mounts and they seem ok. the lower arms are 2wks old, the noise was there before i fitted them and is still there now, any ideas as to what else it could be?

sorry its an rs2k 4x4, . im going to strip it down 2morro. car feels very vague when driving. when you boot it the steering wheel pulls left but the car goes to the right, then when you ease off it feels like it all slots back together.
