Well.
Depends on how the L6 has been fitted with Pectel encryption TBH.

The most common way is to convert her to what Pectel call Level 600.

This was essentially a Pectel CPV2 issue 2 board but was changed slightly for the address points used with 6 and 600 software respectively.

The L6 if fitted with this item, will have a small set of modification's made to the motherboard. The most obvious of these is the addition of the 4 way riser connection on the left hand side of the motherboard. This will be connected to your level 600 board.

If this is the case, then YES. it will run with Level 8.

However, its better to get a Pectel CPV 2 Issue 3 with a genuine level 8 as there are fundamental differences in the system that make it both faster and more reliable.

The chioce i guess, is yours.

P.S:
Simon,
I know most folk dont know this, but we seem to have taken to using as meaning "laughing so hard im crying" Just to save any confusion in the future I always use this for crying:

One more point though whilst im here:

The Pectel board in most 600s, and 95% of Level 8 units is PURELY for encryption. So you may not want one anyway.

If you need to know anymore, please call me on the number below.
