Default heater speed resistor

hi guys n gals

my heater switch only works on position 3,, ive been told its the speed resistor

where is the speed resistor fitted (1990 sierra 2000e twinky)

If your heater blower is like this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SIERRA-XR4X4-X...sid=p1638.m118
Then its the same as the mk4 escort setup and the resistor is on the blower in the middle. You can actually see the resistor on the ebay advert.

that looks the same
are all the resistors the same or do i have to get a specific one for my car

Im not 100% sure if they are the same but judging by the picture on ebay my escort resistor does look the same.
