Can anybody help i have a rs turbo mfi engine in my mk5 escort and when the boost winds up it starts to pop.

At present we have changed the fuel pump to a motorsport esc cossie pump so we should be getting fuel pressure,
all the sensors on the inlet have been changed and we are just about to try different ecus.

If anybody has any ideas or has had this problem before your input would be greatly appreciated.

 

Where does it pop from?, If its from the engine side it could be a valve/cam problem, if the cam or lifters are worn the enhaust valve wont open enough and will cause the presure to be released into the inlet again ect ect

 

i had a pop from the exhaust, then the engine, at 100mph.
