What direction does the focus st170 water pump turn?
That only applies to the 'Silvertop' engines, due to the different ancillaries fitted affecting the belt routing.
On 'Blacktop' engines the water pump is mounted outboard of the cambelt. On 1.8 and 2.0, with standard installations (inc the ST170 {standard pump} & RS) the waterpump is driven by the flat back of the belt, so it goes the opposite direction to the engine, alternator, PAS, and a/c, ANTICLOCKWISE.
