Hi, I have a 1996 escort 1.4 lx which was fine until the other day when the wipers/indicators/heater fan/hrw/elec windows/etc now not working the only thing that works is the side lights and hazards, engine drives fine its just if the ign is not turned on, any help would be most grateful,regards bry.

 

Sounds suspiciously like the fuse box to me mate quite common on later escorts hth

 

Ignition relay? Most of that stuff goes on Fiesta MK3's when the ignition relay pops, although, like you say, the car still drives fine. Sorry dont know much bout Escots, just a suggestion, try swapping it out

 

I think the ignition relay is the big black relay on the top of the fusebox to the right. Location 1.
