Default C-Max with sudden electrical problems!??

Hello I'm new.

We have just been on a sort motorway trip and had to brake suddenly at one point. From that point:

- Indicators work, but don't make any noise and no indicator lights ( the green arrows) appear on the dash.

- Same with Hazards.

- Other dash warning lights don't work either, eg headlights etc.

- Interior light stays on (even though all doors closed and it's on the right setting.

- Brake warning light on dash is on (husband is currently topping up brake fluid)

All the exterior lights are working fine

Can anyone help us explain what has suddenly gone wrong? Would one fuse do all this stuff? Why won't the interior light go off?

yeah the dials work fine. Made a mistake the headlight light works but not the brights or the indicator lights in the instrument panel.
We also noticed the boot lock doesn't have electrical power and the central locking doesn't work!

nightmare!

go to the passenger side footwell and see if you have knocked the mutiplug out of the gem/fusebox. its easy to knock out as you said we
were on the motorway

Fantastic!! That was it!!

Thanks so much, there were so many different random problems we wouldn't have had a clue to look there, there was a rucksack in the footwell it must have knocked it.

CHEERS!

Sorry for bumping this really old thread but I had to say thanks! We've taken our Cmax to a few garages for this problem (were told it was water in the fuse box) and were about to replace it! Thought I'd have a look into it myself, spent 20 seconds online, found this page and now it's fixed!
