Hope this is in the right place. Ive just been out in the car and when im accelerating and turning to the right on full lock theres a really bad creaking/grinding noise from the left front wheel. The steering has felt weird grabbing at bumps for a while (it had new lower arms two weeks ago which I thought would cure it) but theres no knocking noises or squeaks going over speed humps or kerbs. Was meant to be going to WRC tomorrow but il give it a miss now

Any ideas?

noise on a full lock usually means a dodgy cv joint

 

Yea seems like its something like that. I had my mate drive my car around while I watched and theres nothing rubbing. What kind of money am I looking at for a new CV joint?

 

dont think they are mega amount of many to buy,if u taking it too a garage around a hours labour to do,depending on the price of the joint would say around a Ł2-300

 

Weird, had it in the garage today but they couldnt hear the noise, even though loads of people have They did find that the o/s outer CV boot and come a bit loose but that was the oposite side to the problem.
