Default charging problem

right got a escort rst, which has a charging problem, its got a new battery, new starter motor has had 4 new 70 amp alternators on it, all warranty claims, replaced all engine to body/battery to body earths, checked all resistances through main battery leads found nothing wrong, still acts like the battery is flat, when its running and your driving, turning heater on, or electric windows, the battery lamp comes on dimly has anyone got any ideas?

There is no point in checking the resistance of the battery leads they will never fail. You need to volt drop!!!!!

Car running and device on (lights, rear screen heater, etc...) Measure the voltage from the battery terminals. Then measure the voltage between the alternator B+ pin and the case. Is there a difference more than half a volt?

the light is really faint under normal running, comes on brighter when under any load such as wipers, windows, even brake lights,

gonna check all this tomorrow at work, didn't bring any tools home this weekend,
cant be my week went out last night now the engine knocks think some new big ends might be in order too lol

i had the same problem and the wire the runs from alternator to starter had corroded, if not a wire it might be the brush pack

i have exactly the same problem driving me mad, what i have been advised to check is behind the front right speaker cover there is a screw with a load of brown wires going to it, this normally corrodes, also check your back lights aint flashing stupidly as as when i indicate the brake light flashes aswell, i believe theres water getting into the light. ive ordered new seals. hope u get it sorted
