Hi,
The head gasket has failed on my G/F's '97 1.2 clio. Reading the haynes it states that only 'C' type heads (1.1) may be machined. 'The manufacturer does not permit the machining of any other head'. Our's is a 'D' type being a 1.2.
Soooo, my question is what deviation is allowed when checking a head such as this? Anyone know why renault do not permit the skimming of this head?
Cheers
Out of interest what tolerance is acceptable on a CVH?
