Default Custom made glass?

As title. Anyone know who does it? Just plan glass for car windows. Dont need to be heated or tinted, i couldnt give a fuck.

My Chasers rear screen was smashed with a fucking huge firework landing on it.
Toyota have discontinued the part so there is NO chance of getting one from them, there is none in Toyota stock anywhere in the world.

Finding a second hand one may be possible, but in Japan.

So custom made glass/perspex/whatever may be the best bet.

Thing is the screen is VERY curved, ie from a dead side view you can see a lot of the rear screen, so its not as simple as flat glass.

Help

Unless you can find someone who has made the exact one before you will have to have an accurate template made, shaped to support the glass as it's moulded to shape.

They do them on American Hotrod, made out of sheet aluminium, rolled and welded and re-enforced at the back. It probably takes more time to make the template than to form the screen after.

Lots of £££££££'s I'm guessing.

I'd have more than one made,,, just in case.

These make O.E glass:

For custom made glass with that amount of curve, it will cost more than you paid for the car I suspect!

Its ridiculously expensive making curved glass, expensively given that you cant give them a template one, if you think its hard making a perspex one (which is flexible) without a template, picture the process involved in doing a glass one!

You need someone who has made one before.
