can anyone tell me what an engine rebuild consists of.

block rebore, cleaning oil galleries, new pistons, rings, main bearings, big end bearings, and crank grind if needed. new oil pump seals gaskets, new sump, oil pump, new core plugs, cylinder head work done, etc and i could go on. why?

well i had new cams put in and after 3 days the follwers needed changing again the old cam kit was in the car 6 years, i took the new cam kit out and sent them back to the manufacturer to see if they were faulty or it was my engine

ppl were saying the reason for the for the new follwers gong so quick might be because of low oil pressure or oil starvation, but the manufacturer have sent me a new cam kit.

im now having a oil pressure gauge fitted.

 

What cam did you have fitted and did you allow it to bed in before thrashing the bollucks off it

 

piper 285t2 and i couldnt thrash the bollocks out of it because it was running to much boost

 

Piper cams are renowned for being shit, in terms of durability and performance.
