Default Cam Change Problem...

ive changed my standard cam to a piper 285 in my mk2 xr2 and cant get the pulley on the end of the cam, i was putting the standard one on while i got a vernier pulley, i got to the point where i was hammering it to try and persuade it.

are the shafts different diameters?

thanks

have you lined up the woodruff key on the cam to the outer pulley

also if it dont fit FFS dont force it too much, if need be you will have to get another one. its better to get another than risking damagint the actual camshaft with male rage

can you possibly send some photos?

i tried with the woodruff key out and it was still no go!

ive just ordered a vernier pulley so i dont have to force it, it was bad enough hammering the old cam out lol, i think i was abit too rough looking back, all good though!
