just got my 3i runing s2 engine in my mk3 escot ..when i start it the revs go up and down but after i take it around the block it seems ok.a lad i no said it mite be the choke ...also when i took the car around the block the heating gauge was at half way is this normal ......any info would be great ..

 

what do you mean it was at half way? you mean it got to half way or started there?

it shouldnt of heated up that fast

does the fan come on at all and are all the pipes hot and check the rad is hot all over

did you try clean out that valve i was talking about fella


also clean the idle screw tip too as these carbon up

 

no not yet mate bin trying to sort this heating prob out
i will check it all to moz as it goes in for mot next week and its 10 miles away where i take mine..so hope it passis
