Diff Ratios....Effect on Driving???
Can anyone tell me what effect changng the Rear Diff Ratios would have on a 2wd Cossie?
There's a 3.62
3.36
3.14
Just wondered what the effects would be?
Are there any Calculators to show it?
Cheers

2WD is 3.64:1.
Basically the bigger the number the faster the acceleration but the slower the top speed.
Wheel size and tyre size both come into it to.
So the answer is it depends. lol

Im running with 17's on 40's.
So do you have any idea how it would affect the whole driving characteristics???
So you're saying a 3.14 would have slower accel but higher top end than a 3.64?
But any idea how this would affect the rev's in each gear???
I would prefer to cruise at 70 @3500 rather than say 5500...
I may in the future be having to get a new rear diff as i think my lsd may be on its way out, and the company im looking at does several different ratios the lowest being the 3.14.
Any speed calculators for diff ratios???
Cheers
