Default Max wheel and tyre size

Hi Guys,

I need some advice please, I have the opportunity of buying a set of 17" wheels and tyres, a little doubtful as to wether or not I could fit a 235/40/17 tyre safely under the arches of an ERST...think the usual size is 215/40/17.

The car is running on Eibach springs so not massively lowered (30mm F / 20mm R)

Advice will be much appreciated

Rhys

I fitted 205-40-17 on my rst and had no probs.

Don't know about the 235 though, imo they will rub when cornering hard,if poss get a slightly smaller size.

Dave.

235's will rub on full lock, while cornering hard, or while there is a lot of weight in the back. Go for 205/40-17 they fitted on mine with a 40mm drop and no rubbing
